The Office of the President of IAEWP is happy to announce that the Most Distinguished Dr. Rebat Kumar Dhakal has accepted the appointment as the National Chancellor of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal with immediate effect.
Rebat Kumar Dhakal, PhD is an independent educational researcher and peace education enthusiast. He holds a Doctor of Education and a Master of Philosophy in Education from Kathmandu University School of Education, Lalitpur, Nepal; as well as a Master of Education in English from Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal.
As an educator at Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED), he facilitates a few Master/MPhil courses including 'Theory and Practice in Education', 'Educational Dimensions' and Curriculum Development'.
He also serves as the Managing Editor for the Journal of Education and Research (JER), and for 'Social Inquiry: Journal of Social Science Research'. He was also the Founding Chair of KUSOED Integrity Alliance.
He is a distinguished textbook writer for school level, whose school textbooks are approved by the Curriculum Development Center, Government of Nepal, and are being taught across the country.
He speaks and writes about pedagogical innovations, peace education pedagogy, responsible research practice, evidence-informed policymaking, teacher education, inclusive school governance, and pedagogy of local curriculum.
He is a strong advocate of integrating peace education curriculum and pedagogy in schools and teacher education programs in Nepal.
Dr.Rebat would lead IAEWP in Nepal during the term of September 2021 to December 2023.
