The Office of the President of IAEWP is happy to announce that the Most Distinguished Mr. Mohammad Abu Rashed has accepted the appointment as the National Chancellor for the United Arab Emirates with immediate effect.
Mr. Rashed holds an MBA from Institute of Business Administration of Jahangirnagar University and one of the very few certified PPP professionals (CP3P Execution).
Mr. Rashed is one of the widely recognized Global experts on Public Policy with specialization in Public Private Partnership (PPP). He has extensive experience for developing global and country level policies, regulations and guidelines for various governments and multilateral agencies.
Rashed is one of the Global PPP Experts for United Nation Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and was the Project Editor and work stream leader for development of the UNECE PPP health standard.
Rashed acted as senior advisor on PPP at the Office of the Honorable Prime Minister in Bangladesh (PPP Authority) and the Administrative Office of the Honorable President in Afghanistan (PPP Directorate). He also worked at senior level positions for various government agencies, development organizations and multinational agencies with focus on private sector development.
He actively promoted different multilateral partner’s driven infrastructure development programs including IPFF and PSDSP of the World Bank and SAIF of IFC. He also provided extensive support to Asian Development Bank for promoting Higher Education through PPP. He also had senior level positions at IIFC, Nestle, PHG Singapore etc.
Mr. Rashed was involved in many Infrastructure project development and transactions across the globe in Renewable Energy, Port, Road, Telecommunication, Economic Zones and Industrial park development, Housing and Hospitality sectors. In 2017, he lead the transaction for the largest housing PPP deal in South Asia which received the best Social Infrastructure Project Award by the PPP Bulletin. He also acts as Jury for different international award programs.
Rashed has worked, acted as lecturer and presented at UNECE in Geneva, Institute of Public Administration of Saudi Arabia, CSC under Dhaka University, BDI at Berkeley University of California, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and many more countries.
He was also involved in preparing many national policies for Bangladesh and Afghanistan and provided policy level advises to Sri Lanka (State Bank on fiscal risk management) and Saudi Arabia (IPA on PPP development fund). Mr. Rashed has over 10 core publications on PPP, project development & financial analysis from world class international publishers.
On social front, Mr. Rashed is the Vice Chairman for Green Bangladesh, a non government agency for promoting education to under privileged rural students in Bangladesh. He was the secretary for the Jahangirnagar Leo Club and holds membership in many non profit and charitable organizations.
