Dr. David Garwood is a Medical Doctor and a Clinical Research Scientist. He studied medicine at the Kharkov State Medical Institute - USSR between 1981 and 1987. Dr. Garwood is fluent in Russian language.
He also holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of the West Indies.
His areas of research include: oxidative stress and antioxidant in Cancers and Diabetes, the effects of moderate exercises on metabolic parameters in diabetes. He has been exposed to Herbology and Chiropractic in his training as an adjunct to patient management.
Dr Garwood has for the past 30 years studied Phyto Medicine and their clinical usage.
He is Board Certified in Naturopathy and lectures both locally and internationally.
For the past sixteen (16) years he has been studying and practicing anti-ageing and aesthetics medicine, extensively. Over the past four (4) year some emphasis was placed on the adoption of Degenerative Medicine in the management of chronic diseases.
As part of his career development, he attended a number of courses in Alternative Medicine in Atlanta, Orlando Florida, Utah, and Cuba.
Dr Garwood is the founder and Medical Director of Perfect Health Medical & Holistic Centre, Le Clinique and the Perfect Blend Line of Herbal Products and has served the medical and scientific community for more than 32 years.
"Perfect Health Medical & Holistic Center was founded in 1989, we see more than 5000 patients per year for a variety of services. Our patients ranges from newborn to centenarians, oldest patient to date being one hundred and four (104) years old. Ranges of services includes: Functional & Integrative Health Care; Physical Exams ;Health Screenings ;Minor Surgical Procedures and Rehabilitation Services."
Dr Garwood is the author of several original research articles appearing in Peer Review Medical Journals, Health Magazines and News Papers.
Dr. Garwood is an active member of numerous professional and civic organizations including
a. Medical Association of Jamaica, Association of General Practitioner,
b. Georgia Naturopathic Association, American Naturopathic Association, School Boards, NGO and a past Rotarian.
