                                 Mr. Winston Wellington

The Office of the President of IAEWP is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.Winston Wellington as the National Chancellor of Jamaica with immediate effect..

Entrepreneur and philanthropist Winston Wellington, after rising from poverty has spent his life giving back and trying to make this world a better place by providing opportunities for others. Today and for the last 15 years, he’s touched many lives through his non-profit organization, Negril Education Environment Trust (N.E.E.T.).

The initiative started in the garage of his Long Island home where he would  collect donations of books, computers and toys and have them shipped to Jamaica to those in need.

He has since expanded this operation with its home now based in Jamaica where’s he’s built 17 libraries for schools around the country and stocked each with book and computer donations from friends, family and a network of relationships built on the foundation of giving back. Through travel, he saw what the lack of education was doing to his home country and decided to do something about it.

N.E.E.T.’s core focus is on fighting crime through education by providing educational access to the underprivileged youth in the community and all around Jamaica, and also by educating parents who did not have the opportunities that Winston is now helping to provide for their children.

His latest initiatives include a Tablet Leadership Program,an 8-week course that teaches the use of tablets where graduating students receive a tablet to take home, an annual trip to Disney Worlds Epcot Center & the University of South Florida, and a Jamaica-Japan Cultural exchange program.

Accomplishments and Impact:

His work is making a huge difference, providing youngsters an opportunity to accomplish whatever their dreams may be by providing education and sponsorship opportunities. The gift of a tablet at the end of each 8-week course opens up a whole world of possibilities to children who otherwise may have few based on the widespread economic hardships that many in the country face each day.
